Shanti Shuffle: Fascia Class

Pull out your MELT roller or myo-fascial roller and balls for this online class.  We’ll be working to release tight muscles and fascia, creating more fluuidity in our bodies for better overall muscular and nervous system health.

So first, what is fascia?  It is the thin connective tissues that surrounds and holds all of your organs, muscles and bones in place.  And it is continuous from your feet all the way up to your head!  It has nerves that make it almost as sensitive as skin and when it is dehydrated and stressed, it tightens up.  Unfortunately just drinking water won’t hydrate your fascia.  You need to gently move it to push the fluids into the fascia.  Once nourished your fascia may release painful knots and become smoother, more flexible and slippery, like it is meant to be.
