Gentle Somatic Yoga Class

Brand new to yoga or just want to find a class that takes things a little slower paced?  Then this one is for you.  Gentle Somatic Yoga is a slow, mindful type of yoga synthesized by James Knight.  It is subtle but profound in unwinding stiffness, pain & postural imbalances.  You will be retraining your brain allow the body to release long-held pain and constriction & to teach muscles to release and lengthen without over-stretching.  Gentle Somatic Yoga engages the soma (body, mind, energy, emotions) through neuromuscular reeducation, which strengthens & integrates the brain-to-muscle connection.  This enables us to reduce and hopefully eliminate chronic back pain, poor posture, sciatica, stiff neck & shoulders, muscle spasming, arthritis, scoliosis, hip pain, PTSD and much more.
