
Yoga Therapy for Scoliosis – FREE Q&A Session
Do you have an extra-curvy spine? I do! And many others do too. You are not alone and there are many things in yoga therapy that can help you manage pain, posture and overall well-being. I am constantly learning more and more yoga therapy approaches and tools to help bring myself and my clients into better balance. And now we have the chance to work together in a group. This is a four-month course which will start in June and end in September. We will meet on the 2nd Tuesday of every month for 75 minutes to focus on an important concept for those of us with curvy spines. You will learn to adapt your yoga poses for your specific curves in class. At the end of class you will receive a custom practice sheet for you to use throughout that month. This practice sheet will emphasize the important concept you have learned and will enable you to incorporate it into your everyday life and yoga practice. Then the next month we tackle a new concept. By the end of this four-month series, you will have learned a tremendous amount about your spine and have created new habits of self-care that are helpful for you and your spine.
The “kick-off” session on May 11th will be an information-gathering time. We will meet virtually together and talk about plans for this six-week course and you can ask any questions you may have. If you decide to join the group, we’ll schedule your one-on-one assessment time (virtually or in-person). And by the way, if you are a yoga teacher that does not have a curvy spine but would like to learn more to help your students, you are welcome to join as well.
