
Yoga for the Pelvic Floor Workshop
Online Only! So the stats are scary. One in 10 women 20-39 years old, 1 in 4 women ages 40-59 & 1 in 3 women ages 60-70 have pelvic floor issues. That’s ALOT! And it is not only women that have problems – men do too. We usually don’t talk about it, but in this workshop we will. It’s important!
Lots of sitting and poor posture can actually create tight (and weak) pelvic floors. Kegels are not enough to strengthen those muscles & in some instances can be overworked. Yes, we’ll talk about incontinence and what we can do about it. We’ll also learn more about Mula Bandha and how to bring it into your practice and then do a series of poses focused on the pelvic floor muscles.
So if you accidentally pee when you sneeze, don’t put this off. Learn how to use yoga to help strengthen and/or soften the vital “hammock of muscles” at the base of your abdomen.
