Beginning your Journey: 4-Part Yoga Intro Series

Online Only!  ​ Are you new to Yoga & not ready to join an on-going yoga class?  Would you like to learn about the 8 Limbs of Yoga & how they can help balance your body & mind, plus do this in the safety & comfort of your own home?  Then join this 4-part series where you will learn (or fine-tune) the fundamental poses of yoga but also introduce you to yoga ethics, breath-work, meditation & more.  No yoga experience needed.  Also great for anyone wanting to deepen their journey into yoga, work on fundamentals, & be exposed to more than just the yoga poses.  All classes will be held via Zoom.

On January 8th you’ll be introduced to the first 2 limbs of yoga:  Yamas (ethics) & Niyamas (self-discipline).  You’ll hear a little about proper yoga etiquette (so you’ll know what to do when you step into the yoga studio) and we’ll start to do some basic yoga poses with mudras (“yoga for your hands”) & practice gentle movement that will wake up the body.  You’ll also begin to build alignment into some fundamental poses that you will use in many yoga classes.  Modifications for all poses will be given for individual needs.  (Click on the calendar for January 15, 22 & 29 for your other class descriptions.)
