Shanti Shuffle: Refresh your Fascia!

Pull out your yoga therapy balls, tennis balls, Melt roller or myo-fascial roller.  We’ll be working to release tight muscles and fascia, creating more fluidity in our bodies for overall muscular and nervous syste

So first, what is fascia?  It is the thin connective tissues that surrounds and holds all of your organs, muscles and bones in place.  And it is continuous from your feet all the way up to your head!  It has nerves that make it almost as sensitive as skin and when it is dehydrated and stressed, it tightens up.  Unfortunately just drinking water won’t hydrate your fascia.  You need to gently move it to push the fluids into the fascia.  Once nourished your fascia may release painful knots and become smoother, more flexible and slippery, like it is meant to be.
