
Healthy Bones & Better Balance Workshop
Balance gets harder as we age. About 1 in 3 women and 1 in 5 men over the age of 50 will suffer at least 1 bone fracture. Those are scary statistics so we definitely want to avoid falling. And unfortunately along with balance issues, we frequently develop an increased fear of falling.
So how do we prevent falls and increase our bone quality to hopefully avoid fractures in the future? The key is yoga.
This workshop will teach several yoga sequences for balance, plus you will learn lots of tips on strengthening bone quality, Handouts of the sequences and tips will be provided so you can continue to practice after the workshop. This workshop is beginner-friendly, but will also be helpful for those who have been practicing for years.
