Cultivating Shanti Workshop . . . Practices to Calm the Body & Mind

“Shanti” is the Sanskrit word for peace.  Daily life can often overwhelm our internal peace causing anxiety, stress and fear to take over.  This workshop will help you re-connect with your peaceful center with “5 Easy Poses to Reduce Anxiety,” which can become your short practice for peace whenever stress overwhelms.   You will also teach how you can build onto those 5 poses with 5 additional poses to extend your practice on the days you have more time.

We’ll also practice a series of “Comfort Poses” to help melt away your tension, as well as breathing practices and meditations designed to calm your mind.  Handouts will be provided to help you re-create your calming practices on your own.
